Resources & Mutual Aid

Human rights and community care have always been central to my work, whether through jewelry, advocacy, or storytelling. This space is a growing directory for those who want to take action, support urgent needs, and stay connected to grassroots efforts.

Here you’ll find:

  • Donation links for mutual aid efforts

  • Ways to directly support families and organizers on the ground

  • My personal Venmo solidtreasures if you’d like to support my ongoing advocacy and resource work

This page is for those who believe in solidarity, not silence.

Nearly 2 million people in Ituri were displaced between 2021 and early 2024, according to the UN. That number has only grown. Over 24,000 students have been out of school since February 2025. Families are foraging near conflict zones just to survive.

The violence has forced nearly half of Ituri’s population (millions) to flee, but aid is minimal and media attention is nearly nonexistent.

“The war here is killing both the soul and dreams.”

“Israel killed my mother before my eyes, depriving me of her embrace and my most basic human rights.”

“Your help can restore some hope and give me a chance to survive, to complete my studies, or just… to live.”

These are the words of Catherine Hoso, a student from Gaza.

She lost her mother and brothers to Israeli airstrikes. Her home is destroyed. Her future & the university she once dreamed of is gone. Now, Catherine lives in a city with no access to clean water, food, or medicine. She’s asking for help not just to survive, but to reclaim her right to live.

Sidahmed Shaker is a Sudanese visual artist and photographer who has supported his family through his art.

When war erupted in Khartoum in April 2023, he lost everything—his studio, artwork, and home. After multiple displacements, militia attacks, and the theft of all he owned, Sidahmed managed to reach Kassala. His family, however, remains in crisis—facing ongoing violence, displacement, and severe shortages of food and medicine.

This fundraiser aims to help Sidahmed’s family escape the war zone and give him the chance to rebuild his life and art practice. Donations will provide safety, stability, and the hope of creating again.

Years of war have pushed millions in Sudan to the edge of survival. Families who once shared meals around a table are now forced to search through rubble for scraps. Since May 2023, a small community kitchen has served as a fragile but vital lifeline, providing two meals a day to over 1,300 families with nowhere else to turn.

Food supplies are running out. Without urgent support, the kitchen will no longer be able to feed the people who depend on it. That means more hunger, more suffering, and lives lost to preventable tragedy.

In the middle of this devastation, a small, grassroots soup kitchen in the Al Nassr area is doing what it can to keep people alive. It has no name, no formal structure, just a group of neighbors who refuse to accept that anyone in their community should go hungry.

With ingredients like rice, lentils, and vegetables (sometimes donated by locals, sometimes purchased with support from abroad) volunteers prepare and distribute hot meals daily. This kitchen has become a lifeline for families who have nothing left.
